Nuvico Cameras & DVR's

Nuvico DVR Grades

Nuvico produces three different grades of DVRs. Their Economy DVR’s are called EV-Lite Series & EV Series, Mid Range Level is called AL Series, & their Enterprise Level DVR’s are called The AP Series.

Qualifications

Nuvicos AP level DVRs are acceptable for use by the gaming commission. The AP level DVRs that Nuvico produce are able to record a high amount of frames per second. That is what makes them acceptable for use in Casinos. Casinos must be able to view their surveillance cameras in real time. Their DVR’s must be able to record enough frames per second which enables the person viewing the camera to be able to see if a dealer is hiding money.

Choosing the right surveillance camera for you

There are many factors that come into play when choosing the right surveillance camera for your particular needs. Yes all cameras will record onto your DVR. But getting the best picture depends on the different features of different surveillance components within your surveillance camera.

Need a camera that can view through glass? Well then you should purchase a surveillance camera that has wide dynamic view with osd. Those features eliminate glare from the glass while at the same time enabling better picture quality.

Need a camera that can move to see different angles? Then you would purchase a PTZ surveillance camera. PTZ stands for pan, tilt, zoom.

Need a camera that can see perfect at night? Then you would purchase a camera that has IR LED’s. The more LED’s that a camera has the better it can see at night.

Need a camera that can be outside and withstand extreme weather conditions. Then an IP rated surveillance camera is what you want. Not an IP camera also called a network camera, but a surveillance camera that has an IP rating. An IP 66 rating is high enough to be considered top quality for outdoor applications. Having a weather proof camera is as good as having an IP rated camera. It is better to have an IP rated camera than to have surveillance camera that is labeled weatherproof.

Do you want a camera that is viewable over the internet without plugging it into a DVR? Then you want an IP camera, also called a network camera. It’s called an IP camera because you will be able to log into an IP address and directly view the cameras in real time. Some IP cameras are not compatible with DVRs. Hybrid DVR’s are known to connect with most IP cameras as well as analog cameras.

Do you need a camera that can manually zoom in? Then a vari-focal surveillance camera is the right choice for you. Vari-focal cameras allow you to manually zoom by adjusting a switch on the camera itself. If you are looking for a surveillance camera that can zoom in by simply pressing a button on your DVR, then you would want a Nuvico Zoomatic Camera.
